Consumer Attorneys of California is committed to protecting the health and safety of all those who attend our events. Here are the procedures we will follow for our 60th Annual Convention in San Francisco.

VACCINATIONS

The San Francisco Department of Public Health requires all restaurants, bars and gyms in the city to validate proof of vaccination for all who use their facilities. (More details can be found here.) As a result, The Palace Hotel, site of our Convention, requires proof of vaccination for those who eat in their restaurants or use their fitness center.
CAOC is requiring all who attend our Convention, including sponsors, exhibitors and staff, to provide proof of being fully vaccinated in order to pick up their name badges. Name badges are required to enter any event space. To be fully vaccinated in time for convention, your last shot must take place on or before November 4.
Hosting a vaccinated-only Convention is the only way for us to ensure that we are doing everything possible, in conjunction with the team at The Palace, to keep everyone safe and make all our attendees feel comfortable interacting and networking.

HOW TO PROVIDE PROOF OF VACCINATION

Download the CLEAR app using this link on your smartphone and follow the prompts to enroll.
There are a few options to digitally verify your COVID-19 vaccine. Start by clicking "Add my Vaccination" under the Digital vaccine card tile. Then, please select the option that works best for you:
Digitally link a vaccine  • Select your vaccine provider in the menu or by searching “other providers.” Log in to your patient portal and follow instructions to securely link your account with CLEAR. The CLEAR app is integrated with select healthcare providers and pharmacies.          • If you are unable to find your provider in search, CLEAR may not be able to link with them at this time.          • Check that your COVID-19 vaccine appears in your patient portal; if not, we recommend you reach out to your provider directly.• Your results will link automatically - do not try to resync your results.          • Note, sync time varies by provider and may take up to 30 minutes.• Once synced, proceed to complete your Health Pass  Upload a photo of your CDC Vaccine Card
• When prompted to add your vaccination, select “add your vaccination card.”• Take a photo of your vaccination card and confirm your vaccine information.          • Please note, the photo of your CDC card is just used to generate a Health Pass. You will not be able to access it again after it is taken. • Once confirmed, proceed to complete your Health Pass

MASKS

The City of San Francisco requires everyone to wear face coverings in all indoor public buildings, even if fully vaccinated, as well as on public transportation, in taxis and in rideshare vehicles. (More information can be found here.) This applies everywhere inside The Palace Hotel except for guest rooms.Masks must be worn at all CAOC events at The Palace. Masks will be provided if needed.

OTHER SAFETY MEASURES

The Palace provides hand sanitizer stations near all entrances/exits, throughout the lobby and at each guest elevator landing. The hotel has increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting, especially in high-traffic areas such as restrooms, elevators and escalators. Every guest room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between each departure and new arrival.
Please understand that, depending on developments with the virus, details may change between now and Convention. The latest information will be posted to this site.
By attending our Convention, you agree to abide by the required health and safety procedures, including providing proof of full vaccination, wearing a mask in public areas at The Palace Hotel and not attending if you are ill or have recently been exposed to COVID-19.
